Following a beautifully clear, cold, blue sky weekend, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for much of Southern Oregon and Northern California for the potential of severe winter snow. Up to 30 inches of snow may fall in the highest elevations with blizzard conditions at pass levels. The heaviest snows are expected Monday afternoon through Monday evening.

MEDFORD, Ore. - A Winter Storm Advisory and Warning continues for the quad county area through Monday. Additional advisories and warnings extend beyond the basin and have been issued for much of the Cascades of Oregon, and the Siskiyou & Sierras of California.

MEDFORD, Ore. - The Medford, Ore. office of the National Weather Service has issued Winter Weather Advisories, Winter Storm Warnings, and Winter Storm Watches Southern Oregon and Northern California. Including the Cascades and Siskiyous Mountains as well as Klamath, Lake, Modoc and Siskiyou counties. Multiple advisories and alerts have been issued for the region.

A series of wet and cold low-pressure systems will move across Northern California and Southern Oregon Saturday through Tuesday likely resulting in heavy snowfall across much of Northern California in Siskiyou County, the Siskiyou Mountains, and the Oregon Cascades. While details are still to be determined, there is high confidence that feet of snow is likely to fall at elevations above 3500 feet across those areas.
