Red Flag Warning extended through Wednesday night

The 2020 Summer Weather Alerts are brought to you by Cora Christ, Country Financial.

The National Weather Service in Medford, Ore. has issued a Red Flag Warning now through 11:00 PM, Wednesday, August 19, 2020. The area of the warning includes areas of Eastern Klamath County, Lake County, and Modoc County.

Red Flag Warnings extend into much of Eastern Oregon, Northeastern California, and Northwestern Nevada.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected for this evening with scattered thunderstorms possible. Gusty winds, and low relative humidity are also an issue Wednesday afternoon for the same areas.

Gusty winds Wednesday could present an issue for new/holdover fires.

After today, thunderstorm chances are minimal through next week. Some cooling later in the week, then warming back up for the weekend.

Red Flag Warning

A Red Flag Warning is in effect until 11:00 PM Wednesday night for abundant lightning on dry fuels, strong gusty winds, and low relative humidity for Fire Weather Zone OR624, OR625 and CA285.

Please use extreme caution.
