Cold front to move through tonight, issuing Winter Weather Advisory

Another cold front moving through Southern Oregon and Northern California late tonight into Wednesday will bring another round of snow, even down to some lower elevations. Snow levels will hover around 2000 feet tonight, lowering to 1500 feet in periods of heavier precipitation.

A wet snow mix may make it in western valley floors early Wednesday morning, but little to no accumulations are expected below 1500 ft.

If you have travel plans tonight, be prepared for wintry conditions. Remember to check road conditions before venturing out!

Klamath Falls Forecast

Tonight:
A chance of snow showers between 11:00 PM and 2:00 AM, then snow after 2:00 AM. Low around 25. West southwest wind around 9 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half-inch possible.

Wednesday:
Snow before 11:00 AM, then a chance of snow showers after 11:00 AM. High near 37. West wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday Night:
Mostly clear, with a low around 17. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph becoming light north northwest in the evening.

WINTER STORM WARNING - Southern Oregon

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 10:00 PM this evening to 4:00 PM Wednesday above 2000 feet.

WHAT
Snow expected above 2000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches at elevations between 2000 and 3000 feet with 4 to 10 inches at elevations above 3000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

WHERE
Central Douglas County-Eastern Curry County and Josephine County; Eastern Douglas County Foothills, Jackson County, South Central Oregon Cascades, Siskiyou Mountains, and Southern Oregon Cascades; Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County; Including the cities of Crater Lake, Crescent Lake, Diamond Lake, Union Creek, Howard Prairie, Siskiyou Summit, Chemult, Crescent, Gilchrist, Jacksonville Hill, Butte Falls, Prospect, Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, and Crescent. The passes on Interstate 5 between Sunny Valley and Canyonville including Canyon Mountain and Sexton Passes may also be impacted.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 10:00 PM this evening to 4:00 PM Wednesday above 2000 feet. Winter Storm Warning will expire at 10:00 PM this morning above 4000 feet.

WHAT
For the Winter Weather Advisory above 2000 feet, snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches, except 5 to 10 inches on the mountains. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

WHERE
Western Siskiyou County; including the cities of Etna, Fort Jones, Greenview, and Somes Bar. For locations above 2000 feet late Tuesday night into Wednesday, this includes Etna, Fort Jones, and Greenview.

WHEN
From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM PST Wednesday.

IMPACTS
