Local auto dealer gives away car

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -  In the spirit of Christmas, a local auto dealership has given away a 2010 Subaru Forester to a family in need.

Klamath Falls Honda and Subaru along with several automotive partners have donated time to repair & clean the vehicle, and bring it to almost new condition. Vanessa “Angel” Alexander and her family were the recipients of the Forester.

Through donated hours, the Forester was repaired by Gary Sorrell and his team in the dealership’s service department spending a total of 40-hours in the shop. An additional 15-hours was spent in the body shop, 4-hours with Terry at Dent Pro, 4-Hours with Hunter at Superior Interior, and 6-days of quality detailing.

"This car is almost brand new," stated Sorrell after installing $5,000 in parts.

In addition to the car giveaway, now through January 3, 2023, Klamath Falls Subaru will donate $250 to Friends of the Children, Meals on Wheels, National Park Foundation, and ASPCA with the purchase or lease of a new Subaru.

Recently, they also hosted the “Charity Showcase Event” where they donated to Marta’s House, the Klamath-Lake County Food Bank, or Toys for Tots. Currently, they have raised over $15,000 for these charities.

“All of us at Klamath Falls Honda and Subaru are big believers in being community-driven,” said Jillian George, the dealerships’ marketing director. “We want to help in any way we can. We are proud to work and live in Klamath Falls.”
